Ecuador, where the mountains are made out of volcanoes!

Another early start and then we are taken to Quito railway station and board our train.
Let's hope the trains are better than the dentistry
I was under the impression we would be on some sort of commuter train but it turns out we have a luxury private train with bar service, lounge rooms and observation deck at the rear.

We soon discover that the really cool people gather at the observation deck to chew the fat(another delight of Ecuadorian cuisine). The views are stunning as we pass hot and cold running active volcanoes. We are high up here and one must remember to breathe a lot. We stop for a walk in the rain forest, indistinguishable from the Dandenongs, apart from the anacondas!

We end up in the high Andes where we meet the last of the ice gatherers and are given an impressive display of ice wrapping and the perils of neglected dental hygeine.
