So we farewelled all our new friends from La Pinta
and we were taken to a Galapowegian town and after touring the local interpretation centre(?) we were dumped in the rainy "town centre" and left to fend for ourselves for 2 hours-fortunately found a bar to wile away the time with our fellow stranded passengers.

Then by plane to Quito via Guayaquil and taken to our most splendid hotel where we had a most delightful dinner accompanied by a very fine guitarist. We have been warned should we venture alone outside our hotel we could at least have our throat slit instantly(if we were lucky).
The next day we drove to Otavalo via a shop selling sculptures made out of bread dough(sic)-we were mortified too find out that we were prohibited from returning to Australia with the beautifully crafted nativity scenes we had our eyes on.
Great views along the way
We ende up in Otovalo for market day-animals, food and handicrafts.

After lunch we visit the town of a thousand leather stores, but unfortunately none sold the full face mask I was looking for. Then off to our most delightful hotel where my wife had the full spa treatment and had her chakras aligned. I can honestly say her chakras have never looked more symmetrical!
