We leave our luxurious digs and head out to the next stop which is a town famous for for its wood carvers.
It would seem that every town in Ecuador is responsible for some traditional skill like wood carving, leather work, toilet roll holders, lace kleenex box covers, nostril hair trimmers etc. Then it is off to the town of alpaca garments via some interesting roadside stops.

Having solved the Ecuadorean national debt crisis we inspect a rose farm-this is the second biggest revenue earner for Ecuador-straight after Frank and Robyn!
We have lunch at the simple rustic dwelling of the peasants who own the rose farm with their retinue of meagerly paid servants.
Then back to Quito where we had dinner ; we were lucky enough to have dinner with some douche bag who decided he should spend the whole evening on his mobile phone; there was nearly an international incident when he objected to being photographed and we had to remind him what a jerk he was.
