This morning we have a tour of Quito with our loyal guide Bonnie who shows us various sights while continually warning us of pickpockets, thugs, murderers and rapists who lurk around every corner in this beautiful city.
We then drive to Equator Land to observe all things equatorial,
including egg balancing,
water draining and arguably the world's worst example of ethnic dancing.
Then we go off to see the Chapel of Man museum, a tribute to the great Ecuadorian artist Guayasamin. He went through 3 phases:despair, anger and tenderness; the first 2 were real bummers but the third was a bit more uplifting.
I was so impressed that I did something I may regret!
